As an award-winning and iconic Tourist Destination, we are continually innovating our brand and guest experience, and in 2025 will launch a new attraction â Astra Lumina. As part of our extended operating hours and to further support the safety and comfort of our guests and team members, we have an opportunity for an professional and experienced Full Time Security and Safety Officer to support our operations and guest experience team as part of this enchanting new experience! Astra Lumina is an enchanting night walk experience that seamlessly blends art, nature, and technology to inspire and captivate guests. Our Security and Safety Officer will ensue the security of our operations, guests and team, through active patrols, responding to security and emergency situations and supporting guest service ensuring that every guest leaves with a memorable and positive experience.
About the Role
As our friendly and service focused Security and Safety officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of park guests, team members, and property. Your will conduct routine patrols of the attraction and surrounding areas, promptly monitoring and responding to any security or safety concerns, emergencies, or incidents. You will collaborate closely with our Guest Experience team to manage guest flow and crowd control and ensure a smooth flow of guests throughout the attraction.
As an licensed security officer, you will monitor security systems, such as CCTV and access control, and liaise with our external security providers to maintain a secure environment while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will conduct risk assessments when required and actively support the Emergency Response Plan during incidents, including medical emergencies, or adverse weather conditions. An essential part of your role will involve preparing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate records of all security related activities.
As part of a whole-team approach and our commitment to providing engaging guest experiences, you will proactively assist guests with directions, answer inquiries, and offer a welcoming and reassuring presence. Your proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential risks or challenges will be vital in delivering a safe and memorable experience for every guest.
About You
We are seeking a professional with prior experience in security, safety, or a similar role, ideally in a hospitality, events, or tourism setting. To be eligible, you must hold a valid Security Officer license and a current Advanced First Aid Certificate, including CPR. Other skills we are looking for include:
